History
The Pennsylvania Straw Poll is the annual polling of attendees at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. Since 2011 the Pennsylvania Straw Poll has provided an in-depth look of the issues and thoughts behind the conservative voice in Pennsylvania.
In 2012 Pennsylvania Straw Poll went fully electronic, utilizing the Straw Poll App on Apple iPads. The Straw Poll App was developed to provide scientific and accurate results specifically for the Pennsylvania Straw Poll.
In 2017 Pennsylvania Straw Poll introduced the PLCLive Poll during the results presentation, the PLCLive Poll allows audience members to cast votes via mobile devices using the polleverywhere.com application.
In 2018, the Straw Poll App was retired as a number of third party tools have met and exceeded the requirements required to provide a polling. The 2018 PA Straw Poll was conducted with the PollDaddy.com Application Framework.
The 2020 Pennsylvania Straw Poll was not conducted due to the shut downs associated with the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.
In 2021, the Pennsylvania Straw Poll returned to the 2021 PA Leadership Conference with updates and security improvements to ensure accuracy and security of the poll. Scott R. Davis also spoke on a panel of ensuring election integrity based on his experience as a Judge of Elections and his experience running the PA Straw Poll.
The Pennsylvania Straw Poll is managed and conducted by Scott R. Davis.
