2019 Pennsylvania Straw Poll

(Harrisburg, PA) - Conservatives across the commonwealth participated in the ninth annual Pennsylvania Straw Poll on April fifth and sixth two thousand nineteen at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference.  Over forty-one Pennsylvania counties and four states including Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and Ohio had citizens participate in the annual straw poll.

Across the Commonwealth conservaters say 48% that Pennsylvania legislators are heading off track with the budget, pension reform, and properaty tax reform being the toop 3 issues facing the Pennsylvania General Assemby in 2019.  Overwhemingly 88% voted that Pennsylvania cities and municipalities should NOT be allowed to create their own gun laws, in reacation to recent laws enacted in Pittsburgh banning certain weapons.

The nuclear energy industry proposed bailout is a hot topic right now accross the Commonwealth is another hot topic that is being discussed heavily.  The question, "In your opinion, should PA taxpayers bail out the nuckear energy industry" had 77% opposed to the bailout.  In addition a second question on the topic looked at other Pennsylvania based companies and if their industry should be bailed ut if requezted, again majority of those who voted opposed to bailouts with 86%.

Looking ahead to 2020 Bernie Sanders found himeself being the hardest democratic candidate for President Trump to beat ih Pennsyofania as well as being the eary favorite for the democratic nominee.

With all of the recent negativity in the news in which appears targeted towards Trump and othe conservatives the question "In your opnion, should the U.S. Government step in regarding biased Media Coverage" was asked.  The majority of attendees agree that this is not a good idea and that it would infringe on the free speech of the press.
